What information do we collect, and why do we collect it?
The main reason we will use personal information is to help us effectively carry out our activities – providing driving lessons. When you contact us to make an enquiry, we will ask you for some personal details to allow us to provide you with our service. These could include, but are not limited to, your name, address, postcode, telephone number(s) driver number, theory certificate pass number, Practical Driving Test Application Reference number and email address. We do not collect sensitive data about you.
Legitimate interests
The law allows personal data to be legally collected and used by an organisation if it is necessary for a legitimate business interest – as long as its use is fair and balanced and does not unduly impact the rights of the individual concerned. This basis covers all of the personal information we collect.
Changes to personal data
You should contact us as soon as possible if your personal information changes, so that we can continue to provide our service to you.
Data retention
The length of time each category of data will be retained will vary depending on how long we need to process it, and in line with any statutory requirements. After this point the data will be deleted.
Enquiries – All personal details of prospective enquiries, who do not become customers, will not be stored by Andrew Pitt Driving School.
Customers – All personal data of customers is held for a maximum of 6 years on completion of their lessons for taxation purposes.
We do not send direct marketing to businesses or individuals.
We will never share your personal details, for any purpose, with any organisation.
All personal data is held securely to prevent unauthorised access in accordance with UK law.
